Brown Butter
1 Ingredient.
Just one ingredient can change how your food will taste. Is there anyone out there that thinks this is crazy like me?
If you learn how to transform simple ingredients, you can impress just about anyone, with minimal effort.
So browned butter. It is just that. It is butter that is melted and browned. It has a nutty and bold flavor. It can be added to mashed potatoes, polenta, and even chocolate chip cookies! Get creative! Anywhere that you would use butter, replace it with it’s nutty and bold cousin, Browned Butter.
Lets get started cooking…
Ingredients:
Butter- I like to brown 3 or 4 sticks at a time.
Directions:
1) Melt butter over medium high heat.
2) Once butter is melted, cook for 5 minutes until butter is brown. Be careful not to burn.
That’s it! You can store this in a container in your refrigerator. Any where that you would use butter, give brown butter a try! I personally like it with gnocci, ravioli, chocolate chip cookies, polenta, mashed potatoes…. the list goes on and on. Comment and let me know if you give this a try!!
